LIVING NATURALLY WITH NORA
As a teenager, I struggled with severe acne, tried many over the counter products that were damaging my skin. Then in 20’s I became sensitive to sunlight and developed rosacea. Searching for something gentle to use, I found a recipe for a facial cleanser in a health magazine made up of only natural ingredients. Desperate to find something that would heal my skin, I tried it and slowly my skin got better. That was the beginning of my interest in natural ways to treat various conditions.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT
In my mid 20’s I struggled with migraines. My doctor recommended to keep a record of my diet, perhaps there were foods that triggered my migraines and I certainly didn’t want to continue the prescription that had it’s own awful side affects. Over the course of several months, I discovered certain foods did trigger my headaches. Foods such as dairy, coffee, chocolate, cabbage, garlic, onions and the list kept going. So I avoided these foods for many years. In my 40’s, I developed high cholesterol again, my doctor recommended I keep a record of the foods I ate and to avoid fatty foods, such as red meats, fried foods and dairy.

YOUR BODY IS A SACRED PLACE
I Corinthians 6:19-20 (from the Message Bible) “Or didn't you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don't you see that you can't live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.”
Our body is a sacred place, others should see God in us and through our body. However, many of us live as if our body is our own. Because of the choices we make, we suffer from high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, obesity.

INVEST IN A BETTER TOMORROW
When you’re young, retirement is conveniently far away. You think it’s something that you do not need to worry about until you’re older. The fact is the earlier you start planning for your retirement, the less of a struggle it will be as you get older. An article by Matt Wilson about personal finance on www.under30ceo, recommends you begin making small, regular investments starting in your 20s or 30s.
Similarly, investing in your health and wellbeing should begin at a young age. The earlier you start planning and learning about nutrition and holistic lifestyle, the less health challenges you’ll experience as you get older.
Do you see the similarities in your financial health as in your physical health?
